Stratospheric Ozone

The term 'Stratospheric Ozone' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' In the stratosphere, ozone has beneficial properties where it forms an ozone shield that prevents dangerous radiation from reaching the Earth's surface. Recently, it was discovered that in certain parts of the world, especially over the poles, stratospheric ozone was disappearing creating an ozone hole'.

The term 'Stratospheric Ozone' as it applies to the area of the environment can be defined as 'See ozone layer'.
